남원 춘향제는 춘향의 높은 정절을 기리고 그 정신을 계승·발전시키기 위한 남원의 민속축제이다. 축제 중에는 춘향제사, 전야제, 무용, 창악, 기악 등 국악의 밤과 가장행렬, 농악, 씨름, 그네뛰기, 시조 경연대회, 궁도대회, 국악경연대회, 춘향 선발대회 등 다양한 행사가 실시된다.

Namweon, Chunhyangje is a kind of folk festival held in Namweon, Jeolla province. It is a rite for Chunhyang to praise for her fidelity and to inherit and promote her spirit. The rite for Chunhyang, includes an evening festival, dance, ChangAk (Korean classical opera), and performance of Korean instrumental music. There are other various events such as the masquerade, farmer's music, Ssireum (Korean wrestling); swing ride, Sijo (three verse Korean Ode) contest, Korean archery contest, Korean classical music play, and Miss Chunhyang beauty contest which are also held during this time.
