통일전망대에서는 20 배율의 망원경으로 북한의 산하, 주민과 군인의 활동 모습, 농민들의 농사 모습, 선전용 주거생활, 김일성 사적관, 공화당, 인민학교, 곡물창고, 상점, 개성의 송학산을 볼 수 있다. 그리고 이산가족이 명절을 맞아 북한에 있는 가족을 추모할 수 있는 망배단과 통일기원북이 설치되어 있다.

Tong-il Observation Tower : At the Tong-il Observation Tower, one can observe the various aspects of the North Korean people & their living conditions through the 20 magnification telescope. The hills and the fields, movements of the residents and soldiers, the farmers at work, housing, North Korean propaganda from the Kim Il-seong's Achievement Hall--all can easily be seen from the tower. When looking into North Korea, you will also see the Songhagsan (mountain) in the background, a town hall, the people's school, granaries and shops. At this site, there is a platform called Mangbaedan and a drum called Tong-il, It is here that people of South Korea come to bow and pray for the nation's unification.

統一展望台では20倍率の望遠鏡で北朝鮮の山河、住民と軍人の活動する姿、農民の農耕生活、広報活動のための住民生活、金日成の事蹟館、公会堂、人民学校、穀物倉庫、商店、そして開城の松鶴山が見られる。そして離散家族が節句になると北朝鮮にいる家族を追慕する望拝壇と統一祈願の太鼓が設置されている。
